How to Download Videos, Reels & Photos

Three steps, any platform, any device. Here is the whole process.

Instagram

Open Instagram and find the video, reel, photo or story you want. Tap the share icon and choose Copy Link. Then open the matching tool here — Video for posts, Reels for reels, Photo for pictures, Story for stories — paste the link into the box and tap Download. The file saves to your device in HD.

X (Twitter)

Open the tweet with the video or photo, tap share and choose Copy Link to Tweet. Paste the link into the Twitter Video Downloader and tap Download. Videos save with sound, and GIFs save as short video files.

Facebook

Open the Facebook video or reel, tap share and choose Copy Link. Paste it into the Facebook Video Downloader and tap Download. The video saves in HD to your phone or computer.

Tips for the best results

Always copy the link from the share menu rather than typing it by hand — a mistyped character is the most common reason a download fails. Check that the post is public: log out of the platform in a private browser window and open the link. If it loads, the downloader can fetch it. If it asks you to log in, the post is private and cannot be downloaded.

On iPhone

Safari saves downloads to the Files app. After downloading, open Files, find the video in Downloads, tap share and choose Save Video to move it into your Photos app.

On Android

Chrome saves downloads straight to the Downloads folder, and most gallery apps pick them up automatically. If a video does not appear in your gallery, look in Files under Downloads.
