Why the circle is so small
The app crops every profile picture into a small circle, usually shown at around 150 pixels. The original upload is much bigger — often 320 pixels or more — but the app never offers a way to zoom in. That is why a viewer tool is needed.

Profile pictures and privacy
A public profile picture is visible to everyone, which is why it can be viewed in full size. It is still the photo of the owner, so use it respectfully: do not repost it, do not use it to impersonate anyone, and do not feed it into face-recognition tools.
